Parisian Dreaming

Haven't you daydreamed that you were walking the streets of Europe, walking the cobble stone streets, maybe eating some macarons too?.....Well I definitely have, and I guess you can say I would wear an outfit like this for a simple parisian look.

Starting with a clean cut linen blouse that drifts in the wind with each step. A simple blouse that is an essential for all closets for throwing on for on the go, but at the same time still keeping it classy and elegant. To upgrade the look as well, my two-tiered black necklace is a perfect contrast on the white blouse.

As per usual, tight black jeans that accentuates long legs (if that happens to be a prominent features). What I love about this look as well is that the jeans fall at a length that happens to show a bit of ankle to ensure that my shoes get some spotlight as well.

To finish my H to T (head to toe reference from America's Next Top Model..haha) breakdown, these oxfords are like the cherry on top of the ice cream, which also completes such a light parisian style. Roaming through the streets of Paris in these oxfords would be superb for comfort, style, and still feel elegant and chic.

Hopefully in the near future, I'll be able to actually have some pictures fulfilling this dream of mine! At least for now, I can at least dress as if I were there? Haha.

What's really cute is that there are button on the back of the blouse that can be unbuttoned, so it could be more or less open-back! Gives it that new twist to most usual linen blouses.

The Boyfriend Shirt and Oxfords

Hooray for the SoCal sun shining down on us. That means its time to do a 180 spin on our wardrobes! I'm finding it hard to transition though...BUT this outfit is a good start to keep cool.

Starting off with my basic grey vneck and black pants, I kept it casual to go have a late lunch at Larchmont Bungalow with one of my besties. I wanted to have a cover up, but it was too hot for a jacket, so the boyfriend button up was a good way to add a pastel color to my dark scheme. To really add a touch of summer, I finally busted out my cutout oxfords that I got from Dolce Vita.

Stay Tuned for my Spring/Summer looks! Thanks for reading :)

For students out there, good luck on your Midterms! One more to go for me!

Spring Transitions

Hi everyone! I hope you've all been well, and happy that the sun is shining! It's almost time to pull out the shorts and store all those heavy coats and knits. This outfit is a good idea for slowly transitioning into the Spring season with the soft pastel colors. This silk-like skirt with the asymmetrical hemlines makes it flowy and whimsical. I actually wore this on a rather windy day because I like how the skirt was being blown by the wind! :P

I styled this skirt with my black basic tops so all the attention was on the skirt. It seems crazy that I am wearing a circle scarf, but to my defense it was cold that morning!

My skirt is from Topshop but I purchased it a few years back when I took my family vacation to Thailand where it was too hot to wear jeans. However, asymmetrical hems are still very trendy as well as midi skirts, which Topshop does continue to carry.
Thanks for reading my post! Have a wonderful weekend and check back for my next post :)

Dolce Vita

Can you feel the heat lately? Spring is somewhat right around the corner, and what other way to transition than into some lace! This Valentina dress is from Dolce Vita's December giveaway and I was lucky enough to win. The crochet detail is so beautiful. The sheer sleeves is great for the not too cold and not too hot weather. It's just right.
Although Valentines day is a month away, it would be the perfect date dress!

Rebecca Minkoff

I hope everyone is having a great Thanksgiving weekend. As it comes to end, I present to you this color-block Rebecca Minkoff dress. The lines of the dress creates a slim figure affect. What really attracted me to this dress are the sleeves, and its proper, slim fit.

To complete my outfit, I will never forget the booties. If you can't tell by now, I love booties, and I have many of them. These Dolce Vita booties are so comfortable with a 2" heel. The burnt out tip gives it a bit of a worn out look.
