T by AW

Today, I'm really being a true Cali girl. Denim. Dress. Sunglasses. High pony tail. I'm truly enjoying the sun while I can. After being cooped up at work and school, it feels good to be out when I can. This amazing trapeze dress by T by Alexander Wang is light-weight, comfortable, and still shows your body shape. What else could you ask from a dress?

Paired with the dress a simple denim jacket does the trick to get some arm coverage without being too hot. Definitely an outfit with contrasting textures.

Playing with Lengths

Oh Los Angeles, you are too good to us los angelinos. Considering it is still considered winter (I think), we get such good weather. It felt good to get some vitamin D on my skin for a change. Keeping it really simple this Sunday with some good basics and dark hues. Since its technically winter, in an attempt to cover up, this lengthy, olive cardigan from Topshop somewhat covers up all the leg I have been showing around town today. The length cardigan also gets to cover up how pasty I look. On the one hand I love being so pale, but then I like being tan ._. I can never win.

My boyfriend shorts are extremely distressed by Rag & Bone. I have to tread carefully just so it doesn't rip anymore! Fingers crossed. However, I have my eyes on the black version of these shorts which are super cute, you might be seeing them on some future summer post....teehee. I say boyfriend shorts but I drastically sized down so I can achieve a tighter fit.

It's fun to mix and match different pieces from my closet together. Keeping with my resolution is so difficult by the way, I hope you guys are having better luck than I am *sad face*

Boot Behemoth

Hey readers! I'm back!!! Being busy with classes and work didn't give me much of a chance to get around to taking blog photos. BUT when I'm back, I'm back with a kick. As we all know at this point, I have a weakness for boots of all sorts, but especially boots that are unique, which brings me to debut my Balenciaga cut out ankle boots! Since last fall, I have been wanting these shoes but did not have the willpower to buy them, but a season later....here they are. I thought these were sold out but to my pleasant surprise I found them at Barneys New York. That store literally has everything any shopaholic could want! But anyway, these boots are as amazing as I knew they would be so stylish and pretty much matches every single thing in my closet!

On this windy day, I paired it with cropped distressed jeans by Rag & Bone with a simple white tee. Even though it wasn't even that cold (I'm cold all the time), I threw on the peppered grey Topshop coat that I got last year which gives some extra volume to my look~

My whole schpeel on clothes from different seasons, as long as it looks good, it does not matter what season it is from. Plus, more designer lines tend to produce timeless pieces so its pretty hard to go wrong anyway :P

By the way, as you can see, I am sporting some new lip wear! I totally got inspired at work to rock a fall red lip color called 'Olivia' by Nars. One of the Nars representatives at Saks Fifth Avenue helped me pick this stunner color. I also use a red lip liner to perfect the edges ;)

Bejeweled

Today's post is all about the bejeweled accents of this dress, not the game we all have played before :P Hopefully I didn't fool anyone! As you can see the amber colored jewels embroidered on the neckline of this dress adds a bit of sparkle to my ensemble. As I cannot escape from wearing black lately, at least I can say I have a bit of color? Plus I can say I am channeling my inner Halloween spirit with the amber/orange hue of the beads. Teehee.

This two piece dress by 3.1 Phillip Lim is so ethereal. The top portion worn on top of a spagetti tank dress can be worn separately as well with black jeans, making it a bit edgier. The bejeweled top portion paired back with the dress (as how its meant to be worn) is a bit more sophisticated. My favorite part is when you walk, the dress really does go with the wind (you know me pretending I'm runway walking everywhere I go). The entire look is made of silk so it really allows you to breathe especially since I wore at my 9:30am to 6pm work hours.

3.1 Phillip Lim is a brand I stumbled over, realizing how great their shapes, prints, and patterns are. This label has got me hooked!

As usual, paired back with my Rag & Bone Harrow boots, which are a great height and a bit tomboyish.

Can you believe how much my hair has grown?! In need of a cut and dye!

As usual, I try to never get to thank my readers for keeping up with me all this time! I hope to keep producing better photos and better writing~

Parisian Dreaming

Haven't you daydreamed that you were walking the streets of Europe, walking the cobble stone streets, maybe eating some macarons too?.....Well I definitely have, and I guess you can say I would wear an outfit like this for a simple parisian look.

Starting with a clean cut linen blouse that drifts in the wind with each step. A simple blouse that is an essential for all closets for throwing on for on the go, but at the same time still keeping it classy and elegant. To upgrade the look as well, my two-tiered black necklace is a perfect contrast on the white blouse.

As per usual, tight black jeans that accentuates long legs (if that happens to be a prominent features). What I love about this look as well is that the jeans fall at a length that happens to show a bit of ankle to ensure that my shoes get some spotlight as well.

To finish my H to T (head to toe reference from America's Next Top Model..haha) breakdown, these oxfords are like the cherry on top of the ice cream, which also completes such a light parisian style. Roaming through the streets of Paris in these oxfords would be superb for comfort, style, and still feel elegant and chic.

Hopefully in the near future, I'll be able to actually have some pictures fulfilling this dream of mine! At least for now, I can at least dress as if I were there? Haha.

What's really cute is that there are button on the back of the blouse that can be unbuttoned, so it could be more or less open-back! Gives it that new twist to most usual linen blouses.

Print on Pattern

Happy Sunday readers! I hope you're all staying hydrated during this scorching heat! But usually the scorching heat is followed by cold weather...which is my favorite season...coats...scarves... But anyway, today I present a more interesting outfit that combines a peppered grey print mixed with black lace.

My grey peppered vest by Rag & Bone serves as a more boxy, casual piece to offset the more elegant feature of the lace skirt. It isn't photographed, but the vest has an asymmetrical hem, being longer in the back than in the front. A simple vest is a great piece for anyone who wants to add a bit of edge to a plain outfit (plus having pockets is a plus)!

The skirt featured in this post, is from Reformation. With a shorter skirt lined on the inside, it still allows me to show some leg, even with a midi outer hem. The skirt was an amazing buy because its great for mix-and-matching with different tops.

And as usual, can't forget to pair my look with some great ankle boots! My signature that can never go wrong.

Uniform

Happy Sunday! Sunday is new article posting day for me. What I bring to you today is nothing new of what you would get from me, black dress (what a surprise)! A chiffon dress that is lined with a tighter jersey, bodycon fabric. Rag & Bone's signature is their street-style, effortless dress. A bit more unique than a typical black dress, but it is more dreamy and ethereal. with a high low hem allows more room for a perfect "dress is blowing in the wind" look. Paired with the dress is none other than the Rag & Bone boots with the perfect height which is great for long hours of standing. Us girls know how painful heels can be.

Another unique piece is my sheer, floral, lace bomber from Nasty Gal. Too hot for a jacket, too chilly for no jacket at all, grab a bomber jacket! Light weight but not too thick.

Lastly, to add something to bring the outfit together, a statement necklace breaks the endless amount of black that I wear all the time. The Lulu Frost gold statement necklace ties in my other gold accessories. I hope you readers don't get sick of all my black clothes...I can't help it! It's just simply Nita. Teehee.

Split Back Tank

Today's post features this purpled hued split back tank from Rag & Bone. In light of this humid LA weather we're having, showing some skin doesn't hurt. What I love about this tank is how versatile this top can be. It's a perfect day to night top, just gotta change the bottoms.

Speaking of bottoms, I paired this chic heathered tank with distressed boyfriend shorts from Madewell. To have a more higher fitted look, I belted the shorts to get a higher rise but to keep in tact the slouchy look the "boyfriend" style should have.

Lastly, in light of the summer season, I am still sporting my ultra comfortable Chanel espadrilles. I wish they didn't sell out so fast so I could get my hands on another pair!

Rails Plaid x Frame Denim

Hi readers~! I'm starting off by congratulating all the students who are graduating. As for all the other students, YAY for summer! It's finally here and we've been waiting for so long. Time to start booking our summer trips right? I'm excited, as I am planning to head out to NY sometimes in the next 2 months.

This post is highlighting one of my more casual looks for simply running around in. What could be more simple than jeans and plaid to throw on for a comfort chic look. I would call this look Spring/Summer grunge as it has some ties to being a bit on the darker toned side, but still encompassing those light hues for Spring Summer.

My ombre plaid shirt is from Rails. It's a nice staple to have to simply wear as a shirt or to have as a cover up for a tank top. Honestly, Rails makes the softest button ups ever!!

My Gucci bag that I paired with this outfit is what I call super vintage as it's a hand me down! I absolutely love this crossbody because of the classic Gucci print. The cute bows set with a simple grey color.

As I work my way down the look, my light washed denim is by Frame denim. They are so comfortable and soft. I don't usually wear light denim, as I prefer black, but it really lightens up your outfit. It's great paired with white tops to really give a summery feel.

My new favorite round-framed sunglasses are by Oliver Peoples. This company is known for their sunglasses and more rounded frames. Definitely worth the investment for its light-weight frames and polarized lenses.

The Midi Essential

Happy Tuesday! The main feature of my post today is about the midi skirt. Its nice to switch up hem lines to being below the knee rather than the usual mini skirts. My cutout perforated skirt from Zara is so simple yet it makes the entire outfit. It is hard to see in this photo but there is a shorter skirt inside, and you can see my legs through the skirt. It adds a bit of edge to the classic midi skirt.

To add a more elegant look, I am wearing a statement necklace that has an art deco design by LuluFrost. I won it through the Styletag app giveaway. You can also follow them on instagram @styletagapp

The Boyfriend Shirt and Oxfords

Hooray for the SoCal sun shining down on us. That means its time to do a 180 spin on our wardrobes! I'm finding it hard to transition though...BUT this outfit is a good start to keep cool.

Starting off with my basic grey vneck and black pants, I kept it casual to go have a late lunch at Larchmont Bungalow with one of my besties. I wanted to have a cover up, but it was too hot for a jacket, so the boyfriend button up was a good way to add a pastel color to my dark scheme. To really add a touch of summer, I finally busted out my cutout oxfords that I got from Dolce Vita.

Stay Tuned for my Spring/Summer looks! Thanks for reading :)

For students out there, good luck on your Midterms! One more to go for me!

A Preppy Step

Hi all~ In light of the spring semester that has started for me, this look channels my inner collegiate self. Neutrals and blacks to keep it simple due to the transition from winter to spring. The beige sweater layered on top of the white collared oxford blouse adds a classy touch to the sweater. Of course paired with my Rag & Bone black jeans, perfect formal or casual occasions.
To avoid any more blisters for a while, the 2'' ankle booties does the trick to add more neutral tones to this look.

I've been so cold in the mornings that I am so hesitant to wear dresses and skirts :( I miss them. Time for the sun to shine!

It's been a while since I took a selfie. So BOOM. One of my slower days at work. I probably shouldn't had but I couldn't resist :P
