Happy Sunday! The best day of the week for me because it means relaxation, good food, and good company. What I am bringing to my blog today is my love for a minimalistic look. The fact that I have recently been purchasing lots of black pieces is influenced from work, and the fact that black just easily elevates any look any time.
My look for the day is this slip-like dress from Elie Tahari. The key point on this dress is the lace panel on the top of the dress, and at the bottom hem. With a more classy silky look in the front contrasted by a knit fabric on the back of the dress allows for a light weight dress great for the humidity. However, I can see this with an oversized coat for the upcoming season.
Paired with my Balenciaga boots with a cork heel to add a bit of edge to the whole outfit. Gold hardware from my shoes bring together the same look by matching my rose gold watch, and silver rings.

Split Back Tank
Today's post features this purpled hued split back tank from Rag & Bone. In light of this humid LA weather we're having, showing some skin doesn't hurt. What I love about this tank is how versatile this top can be. It's a perfect day to night top, just gotta change the bottoms.
Speaking of bottoms, I paired this chic heathered tank with distressed boyfriend shorts from Madewell. To have a more higher fitted look, I belted the shorts to get a higher rise but to keep in tact the slouchy look the "boyfriend" style should have.
Lastly, in light of the summer season, I am still sporting my ultra comfortable Chanel espadrilles. I wish they didn't sell out so fast so I could get my hands on another pair!

The Simpson Sundays
For the rest of the pieces I'm wearing, my Tabitha Simmons ankle boots are finally broken into. After a week or two of painful toes....they are now comfortable to wear. My sunglasses are Oliver Peoples and are a round frame. They're super light weight and polarized.
Thanks for reading! Hopefully my future posts will be a bit more inspirational :)

Topshop's Floral Romper
I hope you all have had a happy 4th of July! Finally, we can start to feel the summer heat creeping on. What's more perfect to wear than a romper? A complete outfit to show some skin, but to still keep some coverage. Topshop has really great pieces this summer that gives a pop of color. My romper is actually from Topshop, but I got it a while ago. Don't forget to use your student discount there if you have a student id!
Lately, I have been keeping my looks very minimalistic. Staying classic with neutral colors in black, white, and grays. I guess my job has influenced my more colorful wardrobe choices to become more subtle, but still stylish (I hope...hehe).
As you all can see, I cannot steer away from my obsession of boots. I can wear these in any weather, no matter how hot it gets. These Balenciaga boots are unique and edgy, and it was screaming at me when I first saw them at Barneys New York in New York City. All the perks of these boots starts from the perfect heel height, to the unique cork made heel, to its clean, shiny, black leather exterior. Go check out Barney's midsummer sale if you ever have the chance! You can find some really great pieces to add to your wardrobe.
Thanks for reading and stay tuned for more posts from me. I guess you can join my journey as my hair gets longer and longer :)

Homage to Black & White
I'm back! It's definitely been a while but summer has been keeping me busy with work and interning. Plus...I went to New York for the first time ever which was rather exciting! City of lights and busy bodies. If you take a look at my instagram, you'll see all the places I've been and some of the foods I ate.
My look for this post was definitely inspired by the city. Apart from the fact that I wear a lot of black lately, the rustic history of New York is definitely captured in my desire to post in black and white. The skirt by DKNY is like graffiti that I saw in areas around Soho. I also saw a painting at MOMA which is so similar to the print on this skirt.
Staying true to my love of boots, these Tabitha Simmons boots is great for all occasions. It is perfect for both the LA/NY kind of girl.
A side bit of info about me, when I was in high school I took photography for two years, and everything was captured on a film camera. I love how you can capture a photo in its true form, being black and white. I love taking photos in black and white, and now I get to be in front of the camera for a change :)

Rails Plaid x Frame Denim
Hi readers~! I'm starting off by congratulating all the students who are graduating. As for all the other students, YAY for summer! It's finally here and we've been waiting for so long. Time to start booking our summer trips right? I'm excited, as I am planning to head out to NY sometimes in the next 2 months.
This post is highlighting one of my more casual looks for simply running around in. What could be more simple than jeans and plaid to throw on for a comfort chic look. I would call this look Spring/Summer grunge as it has some ties to being a bit on the darker toned side, but still encompassing those light hues for Spring Summer.
My new favorite round-framed sunglasses are by Oliver Peoples. This company is known for their sunglasses and more rounded frames. Definitely worth the investment for its light-weight frames and polarized lenses.

My ombre plaid shirt is from Rails. It's a nice staple to have to simply wear as a shirt or to have as a cover up for a tank top. Honestly, Rails makes the softest button ups ever!!
My Gucci bag that I paired with this outfit is what I call super vintage as it's a hand me down! I absolutely love this crossbody because of the classic Gucci print. The cute bows set with a simple grey color.
As I work my way down the look, my light washed denim is by Frame denim. They are so comfortable and soft. I don't usually wear light denim, as I prefer black, but it really lightens up your outfit. It's great paired with white tops to really give a summery feel.

Textures & Prints
Floral prints and quilted textures is what my blog is about today. I've been inspired by many bloggers these days that do a lot of mix and matching with their pieces. A year ago when I bought these two pieces from Topshop, I would never have thought of pairing them together, but it works because of the subtle colors. The neutral white and grey adds a light color scheme, and the floral prints with the quilted textures adds a bit of elegance to it.
What really spices the whole outfit is definitely the hem line of the skirt. Steering away from the midi skirt, I really went high to a mini A-line.
To top it off, the black booties are by Report with a 2 inch heel. Even though it's not much, but I love having a little it of height (I'm cheating because I wish I was taller). These booties are my go-to work shoes. Comfortable for long hours, yet it matches almost every...single...outfit I have!
I hope I could have somewhat been a bit inspirational for your own personal style :)
